My brother (Charlie Simkin) and I founded Simkin Bioinformatics LLC in late 2022. We have built several tools including a Docker hosted clone of the UCSC genome browser, interactive maps of malaria drug resistance mutations, a number of snakemake pipelines for mapping transposable elements, and improvements to the Baileylab Miptools pipeline.
